The Raw and SmackDown brands are known as World Raw and World SmackDown respectively, while ECW exists as a nostalgic subsidiary of the RAW brand. In 2016, WWE closes its developmental center known as NXT. However, they continue to use the name to reference its former promotional brand, as seen in promos from wrestlers such as Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens from now on. 2009 - The current era of WWE begins In 2014, WWE launched its own network, WWE Network.
