In the wake of the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities, Intel has been scrambling to make updates. The newest update, aptly named Meltdown Deep Freeze Download 14, is a “highly recommended” update which fixes all of these issues. This update is also available for Windows 7 and 8 users without the need for a BIOS update. The updated firmware should be installed as soon as possible to protect your PC from potential security threats that may occur due to these bugs. The updates are available on both Intel's Support site or Microsoft's site if you're using a Windows 10 PC.
